Message | Article 1 we fully support, as we only agreed to the current legislation as a compromise in the past. Article 2, however, we have a certain problem with as some religions have, in the past, set themselves up in competition with non-religious companies in a business setting. Their tax exempt status thereby gives them an unfair advantage in the marketplace, with the profits going not to charity but to the founder's own pockets. |
Date | 06:02:28, April 16, 2013 CET | From | Democratic Party | To | Debating the Religions Act |
Message | Democratic Party support article 1, so that foreign missionaries will have more freedom in this country. However we oppose article 2, as religious organizations should be treated as other corporations when it comes to business with profits. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
