Bill: Budget proposal of January 3478

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3478

Description[?]:

As so many times before, there is horrendous overspending on education and culture. We wish it to be bought back to normal levels. We would like to cut more, but we would be okay with this as a first step towards sanity for now.

MessageMr. Speaker, the reduction in education spending proposed here is extremely severe and could not be accomplished without undermining and disrupting the education of our children. We might consider a smaller cut, but not this.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "The man who prefers his country before any other duty shows the same spirit as the man who surrenders every right to the state. They both deny that right is superior to authority." - John Dalberg-Acton
