Bill: How to do: Fiscal Responsibility
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3479
Description[?]:
Some of you wanted to know what fiscal responsibility looks like, and we shall give you that. By cutting income taxes as much as possible while marginally increasing the sales tax, we create freedom of choice and give people the opportunity to stand on their own legs and chose when they want to pay taxes. This will not create a budget deficit, the increased sales tax will be more than enough to tackle both the current deficit and pay for the new tax cut. Let us pray that we will one day be able to abolish the income tax completely. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, as a One Nation Conservative, I could not support tax proposals like this and then look the Dranish people in the face afterwards. This would amount to a substantial and unacceptable redistribution of wealth from the poor to the rich. We are all in favour of enterprise and people working to better themselves...but this is just not on. President Rafael Duvalle Chairman of the Dranish Conservative Party |
