Description[?]:
This bill is created in order to protect the Voronan culture from radical and unrealistic changes, in conformity to game rules (cf. http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4374). In order to pass, it needs the support of 2/3 of all players with seats. BRIEF PRE-GAME HISTORY Vorona, also known as Deltaria Nova, has little known history prior to Deltarian colonization. It was inhabited by indigenous ethnic groups , related to the Shinjalans (OOC: Mezoamericans) of Sekowo and Lourenne. When Vorona was colonized around 2300 by settlers from Deltaria (http://classic.particracy.net/viewnation.php?nationid=36), the indigenous population was completely wiped out as a result of ethnic genocide. Hence the name Deltaria Nova, meaning New Deltaria, and the fact that the majority population of Vorona has its roots in ethnic groups from Deltaria. CULTURE Deltaria has traditionally been a stereotypical genocidal Eastern European shit-hole, and Vorona, while less Eastern European, has been no less of a shithole. Vorona's ethnicity is Deltarian, a Viking like-cultural group which includes Slavs (Delics) and Germanics (Dunics). Most Deltarian settlers in Vorona belong to the Dunic group, which includes the Danish (Dorons) and Anglo-Saxons (Anglo-Deltarians, Akigans or Angelcynn). As Vorona was colonized by the Deltarian Empire mainly to allow the serfs for the Deltarian nobility to work here, the upper class in Vorona is largely Slavic, while the rest of the population is mostly Germanic. During the centuries of democratic attempts, many immigrants, especially from the continents of Dovani and Keris, also settled in Vorona. ETHNICITY -Delic = Slavic -Dunic = Germanic -Doron = Danish -Akigan = Anglo-Saxon -Daralian = Slovak -Alazindian = Czech -Tokundian = Serb -Trigunian = Russian & Ukranian -Santonic = Estonian ~Percentages of the Population~ -Akigan = 67% -Doron = 12% -Daralazindian (Daralian, Alazindian) = 9% -Trigunian = 5% -Santonic = 3% -Other = 3% *Please note, these numbers, while not stagnate, should not fluctuate wildly. Large demographic changes should only occur with an extensive RP, and consent of all involved. LANGUAGE The most widely spoken language in Vorona is Akigan, i.e. Old English (Anglo-Saxon), and the language is understood by a majority of the Voronan population. Doron (Danish), Daralian (Slovak), Alazindian (Czech), Rodshya (Russian), and Saponitski (Estonian) are spoken by their respective ethnic groups. RELIGION -Hosianism = Christianity -Terran Patriarchal Church = Traditionalist Catholicism + Slavic & Romanian mythology + Russian Orthodox Church -Voronan Church = Church of England + Anglo-Saxon mythology -Luthoran Church = Protestant, Lutheran ~Percentages of the Population~ -Voronan Church: 71% -Terran Patriarchal Church: 19% -Luthoran Church: 7% -Other: 3% *Please note, these numbers, while not stagnate, should not fluctuate wildly. Large demographic changes should only occur with an extensive RP, and consent of all involved. NAMING Characters should have mostly Old English (Anglo-Saxon) and Danish names, with a small number of Slavic and Estonian names. It is advised that party names are in Old English. |
