Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3483
Description[?]:
Historically the Social Democratic Party has pursued policies consistent with the major prescription of power to the national government. However, over time it has become apparent that the nature of Dranish society is more compatible to a different system. The five provinces of Dranland are highly diverse, each with its own unique demographic composition. Because of this nature, we have come to the conclusion that our nation would be better served by regionalist policy. Greater power should be granted to the provinces and their governments; and the national government should function as a uniting entity which ensures the overall stability and safety of the people of Dranland. This specific piece of legislation will be the first in a series of bills that address regionalism. |

Message | While there are certainly elements of this bill that the Dranish Hosian Democrats can't stand behind, we support the gist of the act. The principle of subsidiarity is something we should strive for as a nation, because as the honourable member of the Socialdemocratas says, each of our five provinces are unique and diverse and therefore ought to listen to their own people instead of obeying the demands of a centralized government, which is only further away from the words of its citizens than local governments are. This act is rather radical and sharp, but we are willing to negotiate with the Socialdemocratas in order to find a more suiting and incremental way of phasing this in. Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
