| This proposal will increase spending by just over 4 billion TPD. It will mostly entail of readjusting spending to critical sectors. The Finance Ministry projects a tiny budget deficit of 4 billion (about 1.3% of GDP) which we believe will only be temporary. This budget plan should lead to full employment, our number one priority. | Message | Mr Speaker as the minister of education I am happy to be able to tell the house that I am more than prepared to cut the education budget by 2/3 if we will get our education proposals through parliament. This would mean that we won't have to take irresponsible loans. | Message | OOC: Would we like to establish a tradition of annual budgets? That's what I have done. BTW, with health and social services, that spending includes pensions, unemployment benefits etc. as well, not just health. (That said, my libertarian tendencies do tell me that it's a little too much.) |
