Date | 04:49:41, December 19, 2005 CET | From | Country Labor Party | To | Debating the Labor Union Reform |
Message | When this was proposed before, we supported the idea, but we have since changed our position. Just as the national government should not force private universities to act a certain way, it should not force unions, which are private organizations, to act a certain way. We would hope that unions respect their members enough to poll them before going on strike, and we would strongly encourage them to do so, but the national government should not force them. |
Date | 21:01:32, December 19, 2005 CET | From | Socialist Front of Mordusia | To | Debating the Labor Union Reform |
Message | We must recognize that the trade unions do not always have the time to hold a ballot of all members before going on strike. There are circumstances where the interests of the workers are so threatened, that direct actions is needed to achieve the best result. Therefore, The Socialist Front of Mordusia is forced to vote against this bill |
