MessageMonsieur le président,

At present, the average corporate tax rate around Terra is 22.1% - a whole 4% higher than Alduria. Our government reduced the tax rate from 25% to 18% in order to make our economy more dynamic, more competitive and more attractive to international investment after we opened up the economy to transnational corporations. A tax hike of such huge proportions would be devastating to small and medium sized businesses, and encourage large multinationals to move their operations out of their country.

We will not support a measure that raises our corporate tax threshold to or above 22% - it is important that the rate remain below the global average in order to make our nation more attractive to global investors.
