| Message | I will neither accept the title of republic nor the removal of Most Serene from the official name of the nation. The removal of the Archduchies titles will symbolise the removal of centuries of political history, the degradation of the importance of the regions, as well as the general ignorance and incompetence of those proposing it. |

| Message | The supporters of LW support nothing about the current monarchy or respect their false ideals of entitlement or power over the average citizen. For official title we support all options, whatever name United prefers. For provinces we support canton over province. For parliament is there perhaps another name we could use? The name suggests that the head of state is the monarchy with a parliament. OOC: a wise man once playing this game told me that it's boring to stay the same all the time ;) Besides our party has always just been concerned with staying in power and you keep betraying them multiple times :P |

| Message | The monarchy reflects the nation. If that is true then the supporters of LW are supporters of foreign influence. The former constitution stated that the title of Archduchies is just that. In practice, the Archdukes were almost always elected. Parliament has been used as the name for centuries and there is no reason for change. OOC: I just want to get the monarchy recognised. It took 100 years when I fell just short of that and now it has fallen just short of 20 years which is the new standard. |

| Message | We are not of foreign influence and that is a twist from the fact that there are people who believe that others should not have a sense of entitlement, worship, or power over another simply because of the family they were born into. The monarchy does not reflect the nation, it reflects a close group of families that are disconnected from the majority of the rest of the nation who pretend they represent the voice of all the people. The reason for change of the name is because we are now a republic. |

| Message | There is a difference between opposing monarchy and opposing the symbols of the nation. A very large minority of Cildanians are direct descendants of Emperor Thomas I. It is far from a close group of families. The descendants of Emperor Thomas I come from every part of society and as a whole are representative of almost every group in Cildania. Whether we are a republic or not is beside the point. Calling a republic a republic in its official name is the least Cildanian thing and the least creative thing that anyone could ever do. It is not as if we called the nation the Most Serene Cildanian Monarchy, why should we call it the Most Serene Cildanian Republic? |

| Message | [[In OOC terms, the descendants of Emperor Thomas represent you, not great swaths of cildania but the members of your party. This is not a game about one person, your symbols are not the symbols of Cildania. There is a big difference between over-reacting against not getting your own way and being right. Just because its important to you doesnt mean its important to the character of cildania or what anyone else wants. Cildania was the Republic of Cildania for thousands of years before the lets pretend to be venice most serene style came alone. Even under the semetic ret-con Republic was in the offical name. Its not un-cildanian its just not what you want, and shoving most serene on the front of something doesnt make it creative, its dull and awkward that you like it doesnt make it imaginative. The same with archduchies, it whats you prefer its not what is objectively best. As with LW i'd prefer to go back to Cantons. There is a big difference between not giving in to someone else meekly and seeking to personal hurt them. No one here cares about you enough to care either way, the desire for change is driven by not preferring the current titles or not seeing them as in line with the shape and nature of cildania, it has nothing to do with you. Under the current law the Monarchy is still recognised in every way which effects your party. You can stills peak for the royal family and have nobles everywhere. Just with it only effecting your party and your roleplaying so as you can carry on as you are unchanged just no longer forcing your vision on everyone else. ]] |

| Message | To LW in the pre-qedarite era First-Thrid Republics the house alternated between being called the Senate and the Parliament. [[I think theyre the same in welsh [Senedd] but i wouldnt know about the phoenican/hebrew hybrid which is why i'll currently propose parliament but if youre keen on getting it changed to something less commonwealthy i'll try and work it out]]. |
