Bill: Cabinet Proposal of September 3488

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dranish Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3489

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker, I am enormously humbled that the Dranish people have given me the great responsibility of serving as President for the next four years. I wish to pay tribute to my predecessor, Lucas Manon, who showed us all just how much an executive President can accomplish. It is clear the people have voted for a new government. I would like to form a minority DCP-DHD administration, and ask for Parliament's support in enabling me to do this.

President Rafael Duvalle

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
