Bill: Income tax proposal of December 3497

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aurora Libertatis

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3498

Description[?]:

The Tekàmo Kaisrne stands for the complete abolishment of the income tax, replaced by higher sales taxes if necessary. Until we can reach that goal, we propose a low, flat income tax. We hope that the One Nation COnservtaive Party can live up to the libertarian ideals it prides itself on and agree to this proposal.

MessageMr Speaker,

The MPIC also supports the abolition of the income tax if only to stop leeching by poorer provinces from our beloved Dandratur pockets and to prepare for fiscal independence.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
