Message | Mr. Speaker, (1) This bill is UN-necessary as under current Rutanian law, education is ALREADY "free" for everyone since we believe education is a RIGHT and not a "privilege." The difference is that instead of the school system being controlled by a massive government bureaucracy, it is controlled by PARENTS who each receive 10,000 RUT Elementary Pell Grants to make a BETTER decision of how to spend the THEIR tax dollars. Also, under current law, 1/3 of all of the private schools in the market are directly controlled by the public school teachers' union/cooperative as their OWN business. Now, educational decisions are made by actual EDUCATORS (teachers) instead of government bureaucrats. (2) According to the actual text of the law that gives the Rutanian people what they WANT (as evidence from the recent elections), School Privatization, the law allows the PARENTS of the children to give final permission for teachers to use corporal punishment on students. (3) Current law MAXIMIZES freedom for the people of Rutania. The C-WFP yields the balance of its time. |

Message | Mr Speaker, The C-WFP should learn that "subsidise" doesn't mean "entirely pay for". Education is only subsidised. It is not free. There is still a cost. The present law also encourages a scenario where unsuccessful schools goes go bust, leaving very few schools for everyone to attend. Surely it is better to have many, good schools than few, good schools? |

Message | WSM Spokesman, The law clearly states it subsidizes the COST for everyone. Cost clearly means that if tuition is 7,000 RUT per year, and each student is getting a 10,000 RUT check, then their education is FREE for them while the parent can pocket the 3,000 RUT difference to pay bills or spend in the Rutanian economy.
