Bill: Abortion Devolution Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3502

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

instead of permanent tug-on-wars between pro-life and pro-choice stances, we should simply let the Provinces decide on the issue as we did with equally controversial nuclear power questions, because there will be a greater consensus on a local level.

We all know RFR are LINOs because libertarianism doesn't seeks consensus on anything, it will defy everything in name of shrinking government, even if people opposed to it.

MessageMr Speaker,

there is a lot of debate going on within the libertarian community over the issue of abortion, since it is a questionable practice that targets human life. Since life is a natural precondition for liberty, we cannot simply dismiss the issue by saying the government should stay out of it.

Isn't libertarians does that always. Dismiss the issue by saying the government should stay out of it. Libertarianism showed it's real side. It is an ideology for lazy ideogogues.

MessageMr Speaker,

the government should stay out of what can be handled privately and voluntarily. Abortion is hardly voluntary on the part of the unborn child, is it?

Law doesn't recognise the unborn foetus as alive so that argument is null and void, or we all have to add 9 months to our ages, some doesn't like that.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
