Bill: Worker's Freedom Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3505

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

we believe in the freedom of unions to agitate collectively in favor of the demands of their members, but we also have to recognize the freedom of non-unionized workers to set up individually negotiated contracts with their employer with regards to the hours they want to work. If someone wishes to work more, and thus get more pay, let him do so and bar union bosses from nannying that worker.

On the other hand, we do not see why unions should be required to vote on taking action when we effectively grant all workers the right to strike. Individual freedom means that majority decrees should be discouraged in favor of individual decisions.

Union is a collectivised organisation, adding indivualism in it makes it no sense. It is like adding sugar to salt to make it more less salty, the result will be untasteful and it will not work! My friends and communists don't fall to hidden agenda of RFR and her corporatist agenda!

MessageMr Speaker,

if unions want to be collectivist, they can still be, they'll just not be required by law to subject themselves to internal majority decrees. It's called self-determination. And it goes beyond my imagination how any of our policies are corporatist when we have spearheaded every substantial reform aiming at reducing government interference in the economy.

MessageMr. Speaker, this legislation would undermine trade union democracy and allow employers to work their workers into an early grave. It is a pity the capitalist elite which runs the RFR is only capable of thinking about its own interests and never those of everybody else.
