Details

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3505

Description[?]:

Rich men should be obliged to cease their vicious sexual exploitation of working-class women. A woman is not a sexual commodity to be bought and sold like a loaf of bread. Prostitution of one of the ugliest features of capitalist society, founded upon social and economic inequality. It is time to abolish it. Leave our working-class women alone.

MessageMr Speaker,

regardless of my personal disapproval of prostitution, I condemn this vicious attempt of the fascist left to destroy women's self-determination only because their way of generating income does not comply with the bigoted 'morals' of Mrs Saldanas and her narrow-minded bunch of extremists.

Contrary to the demagogical attempt of the DCL to portray prostitution as an act of aggression, it is a voluntary trade, and where it is not, it must be punished, but outlawing it in general is authoritarian and illiberal.

Furthermore, we ask this chamber to take note how the fascist Saldanas believes to own people like slaves when she yells at us to "leave our working-class women alone" as if she were the rightful ruler over these people.

Mrs Saldanas, your crude idea of agitating as a kind of working-class overlord are a symptom of mental degeneration, and your megolamaniac attitude should be enough for you to get admitted to an institution.

"Mr Trelawney, withdraw your comments about the mental state of the Leader of the Opposition.

As for Mrs Saldanas, may I ask her not to generalize her criticism of clients of prostitution by summarizing them as "rich men"? Parliament is not a place for defaming whole groups of society. "

MessageMr. Speaker, I invite Thomas Trelawney to consider how he would feel if it was his wife, mother or daughter who was forced by the capitalist economic system into selling her body to satiate the lusts of greedy rich men? Isn't it enough that the capitalists exploit the labour of poor women, without them wanting to take away their bodies and their dignity too? Thomas Trelawney is part of the male pro-capitalist establishment which is intent on degrading the working-class women of Dranland.

MessageMr Speaker,

responding to Mrs Saldanas' question about "how I would feel if..." - well, I would respect the right to self-determination of the supposed people, contrary to the totalitarians on the opposite benches. The fact that I do not morally approve of it changes nothing about my respect for individual freedom.

And no, Mr Speaker, I will by no means apologize to a fascist who opposes self-determination.

"Mr Trelawney and the Leader of the Opposition are both excused from this session, the former for refusing to withdraw his previous comments and the latter for perpetuating her unacceptable generalizations."

MessageMr. Speaker, you are obviously biased in favour of rich people, otherwise you would not threaten me with ejection for pointing out the fact that rich men in this country routinely exploit working-class women in order to satisfy their filthy lusts. I will not apologise or withdraw this very reasonable objection. I was elected to this Parliament to represent working-class men and women. Why does the Speaker try to censor me for trying to do so?
