Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3506

Description[?]:

Honourable legislators,

If people be allowed to own guns - what problem is it in letting them organizing themselves to have fun with them, for the sake of the common good? The anti-freedomite legislation on weapons must end - the best way to ensure our continued freedom is an independent, autonomous military chaste, made up of free and decent good citizens.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Obviously there seem to be people who still have yet to learn from the past. Paramilitaries have shown their effects on Dranland over the past 50 years through FERN, the Crimson Uprising, and various communist militias. There have been assassinations and large terrorist attacks against our most major cities by these sort of groups.

Yet here is a proposal to legalize these groups. This is an insult to all the people who have died and lost loved ones as a result of paramilitaries.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Paramilitaries?! What is Mr. Maelic thinking now? Who knows what the aims of these paramilitaries will be, and how will they be regulated and controlled??? Such legislation would put thousands of Dranish citizens at risk to violence! In the past, militant groups have quickly turned on their neighbors and persecuted others, like the Draddwyr in brutal purges... does Parliament wish to repeat the mistakes of the past?

OOC: From what I remember, there was a period of Draddwyr persecution, right? If not, then ignore. :)

MessageMr. Speaker, "The Good" ought to be renamed "The Chaos" or "The Anarchy". Do they have any idea about how to govern Dranland in a stable and responsible way?

Leticia Saldanas MP
Leader of the Opposition

OOC: Yes, Cobalt, a long time ago Dranland had the notorious Welsh/Draddywyr Genocide. See, for example: http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Welsh_Genocide

MessageMr. Speaker,

I second the question of the Majority Leader.

Though if their Werin Da political ancestry is anything to go on, they probably want to kill everything that isn't Draddwyr and isn't SPC. In other words, the majority of Dranland.
