Message | How does this support democracy? You are proposing to a) abolish something that legally has no impact upon politics (hardly democratic, we might try and ban you from eating ice cream in the name of democracy) and b) you are proposing to rob people of their birthright, what next, abolishing inheritance? |

Message | The SFP would continue to support Titles of Nobility (article 1) if new titles were permitted to be granted alongside existing ones -- we oppose allowing only an entrenched aristocracy access to titles. If titles were (are?) permitted to exist, new ones must be issued on the basis of merit. We also oppose hereditary titles and we support taxing inheritance. (sorry Jacobites) |
