Message | Article 1 of this bill fits our economic policy, creating what we call a "contract state" where the government hires private sector firms to do public works (because the private sector is usually more efficient). The issue, however, is that in the area of healthcare, it can cause some problems with our social policy. We want to give the private sector the right to discriminate, i.e. each business should be able to choose which employees or clients to reject. Of course, they do so at the risk of ruining their own business, but it's not our problem and they should know their aims. For the sake of ensuring all citizens have access to healthcare, the LNP believes that public healthcare facilities should remain open. -- Edwin Fertig, Vice President |

Message | You make reasonable points, Vice President Fertig. This bill shall be rejected and Article 2 shall be proposed separately. William Johnson, President |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
