Bill: Preserving our Culture
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Union of Traditional Workers
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3525
Description[?]:
Our culture has evolved greatly over time and it saddens me to see the people wearing luthori clothing and discarding traditional clothing in favour of more "convenient" clothing. The dangers of education and being an internationalist country is evident. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We could agree with Article 1, but Articles 2-4 are unacceptable. Article 2 is a direct violation in what we believe is a core function of the state, which is to educate the masses, so that they may become productive members of society and be more socially mobile. Article 3 would detract from Article 1, forcing the government to eliminate works of culture that are inappropriate, despite the fact that the government funded the work. Article 4 greatly distorts educational choice. Many Jienist academies are private in nature. The current law allows private schools to teach the same curriculum as public schools, making sure that all individuals learn what is necessary to contribute to the public good. I yield. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The banning of private schools is totally unacceptable. It would would cost the jobs of many teachers. Only because of this we will oppose this bill you will not have of the General Worker's Union. We hope you can propose a more serious proposal. Sincerely, Isabel Lerga, Head of the Indralan General Teacher's Union. |

Only the "Culturally Open" nations are not bound by the rules surrounding culture. The Cultural Protocols Index should be consulted for more information about the cultural situation of each nation. |
