Message | Bills, like several others that have yet to be passed or defeated due to to an unwillingness to readily meet a compromise with other parties. |

Message | Mr. Chairman, That is rubbish. "The government funds recycling facilities and enforces mandatory recycling for residents, commercial enterprise, and industry." - this proposal was included in this bill, which will pass: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=389496 As for the other bill ( http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=389575 ), which will fail, why would you propose its articles again when you know it will fail again? -- Dereck Moore, Environment/Tourism Minister |

Message | The only reason behind the failure of most bills suggested in this "government" is due to the ruling party's unwillingness to meet on common grounds with other parties involved in the legislative process, thus making it a one man show, if you will. |

Message | Mr. Chairman, Even with that said, the point remains that proposing the same bills over and over again won't change anything. They failed before; what will prevent them from failing again when you propose them now? That is the question: what is convincing us to reach common ground with you, now? This isn't a 1-man show. Our party, if anything, is more oligarchic than autocratic. It is a ruling party, and not a single ruling individual as you imply in your "one man show" statement. How dare you insult President Fertig. -- Dereck Moore, Environment/Tourism Minister |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
