Message | This bill may help the economy in the short run, but after a while, the people will generally start to become poorer and poorer, and the wages will go down, causing all sorts of other issues, such as internal fights, and possibly even a rebellion. It's a no for me. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I have but one word for this bill, ludicrous. To tax religions are an incentive for the government to crack down on people who wish to worship their religion as they please. The point of religion is NOT to make a profit, so I cannot understand why the LA wishes to tax them. I believe that tariffs may be used as diplomatic tokens. If another country is doing something that is harmful to the peaceful nations of the world, or if they are abusing their citizens, I believe the government reserves the right to use the force of the tariff to harm that country in a way that is not through military might. Our party has already taken a stance on energy in our Devolution Bill, and would like for more power to be given to the states. Also, our party believes in a tight border security along with strict border laws in order to prevent illegal immigration. If foreigners wish to come to our country, they must get in the back of the line and wait just like everybody else. Cutting back on border security will only encourage more illegal immigrants, which in the long-run, will harm this country. Thomas Leon Republican Party Trade and Industry Candidate |
