Bill: PROTECT Rutania's Forests Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3536
Description[?]:
Although under CURRENT law, Rutania requires HIGHER tree replacement levels in the logging industry, the CWFP have located a LOOPHOLE in Rutanian Law that allows LOCAL governments (particularly the more CONSERVATIVE Provinces of Ardina and Delvar) to leave our cherished forests UN-protected. Therefore, this bill just seeks to CLOSE that loophole by ensuring that ALL forests are protected. It should be a NATIONAL INTEREST in protecting forests b/c trees give the people OXYGEN which replenishes the air that we breathe and even SOLVE many of the adverse health problems caused by asthma and other respiratory diseases which only RAISE healthcare rates on EVERYBODY (regardless of political affiliation). However, we just like to inform the more CONSERVATIVE parties that under CURRENT Rutanian law, it allows LOCAL governments to SOCIALIZE (manage) all forestry land so in Provinces are are more liberal, it creates REGIONAL socialism. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, While we support the privatization of forestry, we do not support the proposed policy on forest protection. By only allowing logging by license, it can create a situation where the government essentially doesn't allow logging of any sort by having very strict guidelines to give out licenses.
