Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, members of the House, people of Luthori, Following the change in leadership of the Luthori Tory Party, itself following on from the change in leadership of this great nation of ours, it is clear to all that this is a time for change. Change from within. The change which will sweep away the old roadblocks to peace and prosperity. The change which will allow us to do what must be done. The change we hope for, and the change we can, and must, believe in. Change is not just some slogan. It is not a buzzword to excite the press. It is not a bogeyman under the bed or a short path to anarchy. Change is our one last, best , truest hope. The old order, my friends, has passed away. Long sickening with the length of years and its blockheaded intransigence, diseased by corruption and oppression, maddened by bloodlust and greed, crazed by guilt and ridden with envy, it has at last died, and we should not mourn its loss. We stand, my friends, upon a precipice, a peak, a cliff, a watershed. What we do today will have profound consequences that shall echo down the ages and overshadow our successors for centuries. Let our watchwords be action, decision, and reform. Let our hearts be willing to bear all that we must bear. Let us stand united against the foe. For too long has this party stood for retrenchment, for reactionary politics, for racism, supremacism, backwardness, colonialism, imperialism, libertarianism, antisecularism and monarchism. It is time to move forward, not backward. Our long war against the environment in Luthori must come to an end. My friends, let us vote for brighter, greener tomorrow. So let us pledge ourselves, my friends, to change. To revolution, without reform, change without alteration. For our future, for our children's futures, for our children's children's futures , and our children's children's children's futures. |
