Message | Adulthood is determined by religion? So what we have being proposed here is that adulthood be varied across the country? Muslim will be considered adults by the state at a different age than Jews will or Christians will or Hindus will? What of those who claim no particular faith? (agnostic or atheists) There needs to be a set standard by which the state will consider one to be an adult. I see no reason to exclude women from serving in the military. If women should so choose to take up arms and to fight for their country than they should be allowed to. We as a state should encourage patriotism and nationalism among our citizens, including women. |
