Description[?]:
It is my regret to inform Parliament and the people of Rutania that Malivian religious fanatics have attacked the Rutanian embassy in the Storm-Ridden Fortress, an acropolis in Walkûunar, in retaliation for the arrest and conviction of their Gerajan high-priest Shlomo Fatwami for crimes against humanity. There were 17 Rutanians in the embassy when it was attacked. 11 survived. Among the casualties were Ambassador Egmond McCallister, Capt Wentworth Brewster, Lt Douglas Bennington, Lt Ruth Ridgeman, Herbert Herschel and Wallace Stepford. We mourn their untimely deaths. The 11 survivors are being held captive by the attackers, who call themselves the 'Armed Servants of Wrath'. In exchange for the survivors, the Armed Servants of Wrath are asking for the release of the 21 Malivian slavers currently held in Rutanian custody. The government promises to do everything in its power to ensure the captives' safe return to Rutania. -Sandra Day O'Sunbeam, President |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
