MessageArticle 3 is sensible, but Articles 1 & 2 are not. They ought to belong to a "National Surrender Act" rather than a "National Defence Act"! Doesn't our government have a basic responsibility to ensure we have soldiers to defend us, and provisions in place to protect our citizens if they come under attack from weapons of mass destruction?

MessageArticle 1 would mean that we'd still have buildings with "provisions for Civil Defence" but would mean that all new buildings MUST feature provisions for civil defence. Regarding Article 2, the current law just means that young workers are taken out of employment in order to either serve a rather pointless term in the military or doing "civilian national service". We're proposing that people should only serve a term in the military during wartime.
