Message | We oppose requiring tree replenishment during logging operations, but our current pollution laws encourage replanting as soon as practicable (since tree planting gives pollution credits which are marketable) and also require that the land be returned to its original state at the end of the usage period. |

Message | Liberty Party: The law you referred to (on the main message board) may say a lot of things in the description but it's real impact on the law is not what you claim it to be. |

Message | The description is the law. The limits of the game mechanics require that any legal position more complex than the proposals available be set out in the description. I'm not sure where exactly the game says this, but I believe it's either in the wiki or the tutorial. Or are you saying that the description would not have the effect claimed? If it is the latter, I would be perfectly willing to discuss revising the text to clarify the effects. I know that the existing wording is not great, I wanted to get my thoughts out there initially and expected to revise it during the debate phase, but it passed as is. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
