Bill: Religious Nature Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2160
Description[?]:
Foreign Missionaries should be allowed to freely come here, to be welcomed and encouraged to do so! People, if they want to listen to missionaries, to experience religion, should not have this infringed by the Government. Just because they may preach different things does not mean we should not encourage it. |

Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries.
Old value:: The government has no policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries.
Current: Foreign missionaries are not permitted to enter the nation.
Proposed: Foreign missionaries are welcomed and encouraged by the government.

Message | No and No. There is absolutely no reason why we should encourage foreign missionaries, our country is a relatively religious and advanced country, so surely foreign missionaries have better things to do than come to Rutania? Such as going to a country where missioning is needed. And I believe it is very reasonable that there are no teacher-led prayers in PUBLIC schools. |
Date | 22:25:38, December 21, 2005 CET | From | Grand Republican Party | To | Debating the Religious Nature Act |
Message | The GPR is against religious paryer in school, fuly supporting a secular and seperation of religion and state viewpoint. On the view of foreign missionaries, the GPR takes a neutral standing at this moment in time. Thus, opposed. |

Message | Against 1, in favour of 2. |

Message | "And I believe it is very reasonable that there are no teacher-led prayers in PUBLIC schools." Actually it just says "schools", not "public schools". Im not even sure if there are any "public schools". If there are, then Im not in favour of them anyway. |

Message | favour of 2, 1 must never stand, the Nationalist are total agianst mass and un-sorted immigration. |
Date | 17:44:21, December 22, 2005 CET | From | Grand Republican Party | To | Debating the Religious Nature Act |
Message | Given more discussion, the GRP would support article 2, as it leaves each school to decide what they wish to do, which the GRP supports. The GRP would also like an explanation of article one in more detail, as to its efects and consequences. OC: Basically, what is defined as a foreign 'missionary', how many would there be, what can they do, do we have any control or veto over them and their actions etc. |
Date | 17:59:03, December 22, 2005 CET | From | Grand Republican Party | To | Debating the Religious Nature Act |
Message | The GRP would support a change to the missionaries having to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thus they can come freely, and we can still ensure we know where they are and at least vaguely what they are doing. |

Message | I meant "secular schools". ;-) |
Date | 13:47:54, December 23, 2005 CET | From | Libertarian Alcoholic Party II | To | Debating the Religious Nature Act |
Message | The FP is right when they say "People, if they want to listen to missionaries, to experience religion, should not have this infringed by the Government." Which is why I will not support government endorsement of any particular religious activity, just as I won't support its stifling. |
