Bill: Deployment of Security Forces to NUM (CLOSED SESSION)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dranish Agrarian League

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3554

Description[?]:

Given the increasing amount of violence and instability in North Utari Mosir, I as Taoiseach and Defence Minister propose that we deploy the following forces to NUM especially the area in and around Enotomo-si. (NB: This is NOT a declaration of war on our territory but merely a STABILISATION mission.)

-7,000 troops to stabilise and counter any insurgency attacks in the NUM
-1,246 police officers to aid the local forces
- A team of the Special Operations Division to negotiate/resuce the kidnapped Govt employees
-12 of our Naval Fleet to be stationed in the north eastern coast to intercept any delivery of weapons. The govt will consider any weapon delivery to NUM to be an act of hostility and contrary to international law.
-The cost of the entire operation is to be around 833 million DRA monthly or 7.3 billion DRA annually(but we don't really expect it it to last that long now.)

NB: this is a closed and secret session and no foreigners, journalists or outsiders can know the full details for security reasons.

MessageMr Speaker,

I think this stabilisation is necessary, the situation in NUM is ridiculous. Terrorists funded by a foreign government, the same government that funds the former Premier Jun. we need an intervention to NUM to solve this problem. When the telegram that I got declassified for the honourable members of this parliament, I will read it to the parliament.

I yield.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
