Bill: Federal Bailout of KXK, Inc.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Encarta Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3554

Description[?]:

We propose bailing out KXK, Inc after there severe losses. We do not propose this due to any connections to the company, but as a way to ensure thousands keep their jobs. We will give the required loan to KXK. With that loan KXK will begin to operate once more and not, we repeat NOT, give handouts to their C.E.O or Board. Once KXK begins operating in the black, we will then request the repayment of the loan. We propose giving KXK ten years time, to pay back the full loan as well as the interest. However, with regards to interest, we also propose subsiding such a thing, while KXK stays in the red.

We hope we can reach an agreement soon, so as not to leave thousands of Beluzians unemployed.

MessageSeeing the necessity for quick action, we're moving this bill straight to a vote. However, we will still allow the use of debate, should this measure not pass as is.

MessageI'd like to know the exact amount we will be loaning out. This sounds like a good plan I just want to make sure we do not put the federal government at risk.

MessageWell, after doing some quick math and seeing we have a surplus nearing 200 billion BEL, we figure maybe around 30-40 billion BEL. However, we are willing to negotiate this amount as needed.

MessageOOC once more: I based the amount, just like the proposal, off of the real life U.S. auto bailout, which came out to 80 billion dollars. That was used to rescue Ford and GM. Seeing as this is only one company, I decided to do roughly around half of that amount. Seems like it would be realistic amount, a hundred percent.)))

MessageWe are pleased to no end that the parties of Beluzia have put aside their differences to rally around a greater cause and pass a peace of legislation that will help stem the tide of this tragedy.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
