Message | We support the articles on ISPs and extradition but are opposed to the other three. With regards to child benefit we feel it should remain available to all but that the government can perhaps consider giving higher benefit levels to poorer families. We are concerned also about some of the consequences of legalising recreational drugs but have never favoured punishing people for the possession of such drugs for personal use. Finally on marriage law we feel it is important that all marriages comply with Kazulian law in order to protect women and children from exploitation. Some other countries for example permit child marriages and there is no way we can accept that in Kazulia. VG has therefore decided to abstain from voting on this bill. OOC: Welcome back. Nice to see some more left-leaning parties again. |

Message | There is absolutely no reason for giving high-income families and the wealthy any money at all, as long as they can provide for themselves and have far more than they need already. Regarding the marriage law - no Kazulian would be allowed to marry a child, nor could a Kazulian child ever marry a foreign adult, thus no Kazulian citizen could ever be involved in any marriages like the ones you mentioned. The rules for Kazulian citizens would of course still apply even if we liberalise the marriage law in the manner we propose. OOC: Thanks. Gov't coalition next ;P |
