| Message | Senators, It was known that this treaty would be practically impossible to pass. We sent it through on the offchance that perhaps our fellow Senators would realize that these should be rights for all our people. Always will our goal be this: to free the oppressed, to dismantle the outdated and medieval traditions that have held so many in chains. Senators,we continue to be dissapointed by your lack of care on these matters. And yet,we can't admit defeat. We have already come so far,and given our citizens rights they couldn't have hoped for 60 years ago. That is why we will continue to try to pass this treaty,continue to reform, and continue to fight against the oppressive mindset that has taken control over many minds in this country.
