Bill: Economic Reform Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Mordusian Worker's Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3559
Description[?]:
It is clear capitalism has failed. The chains of a so called 'free' market enslave the millions of Mordusian workers every day. The economic potential of our nation is billions above where the capitalist bourgeoisie have led us, into a state of oppression of the proletariat, oppression of not only the working classes but all except for the elite. Therefore, this act seeks to reform the Mordusian economy on the path to basic socialist principles, to give this nation chance to lead the world with an egalitarian heart. |

Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 18:56:10, October 06, 2013 CET | From | Confederation of Democratic Councils | To | Debating the Economic Reform Act |
Message | We, the assembled people of Occupy Mordusia, have come to a consensus regarding the Economic Reform Act: We strongly support Article 8 (formation of Democratic Workers Councils), Article 7 (right to secondary strike action) and Article 6 (salary cap). But we call on the government to rethink Article 5 (Government policy on industry and subsidies to industrial operations). Instead of being controlled by the state, the industrial corporations should instead become confederations of worker-owned co-operatives. We urge the government to support direct democratic participation at all levels of the economy and government. |
Date | 17:57:23, October 09, 2013 CET | From | Mordusian Worker's Party | To | Debating the Economic Reform Act |
Message | The Mordusian Workers Party seeks to implement government control over essential services, such as energy production or banking, while creating a Market Socialist economy elsewhere run by the worker's. Nationalisation is the first step before democracy can be implemented in the workplace. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
