Bill: Political Union for a Presidential Majority

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Fascist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3558

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The DFP proposes this Cabinet for the consent of the Parliament to confirm a government in the post election landscape. This is a mutli-partisan Cabinet that forms a majority and will allow for broad participation in decision making. We need stability and an alternative to the DHA governments which have promoted harsh partisanship, militaristic policies and over aggressiveness. Civility, self restraint and common sense should be well placed in government to form responsible leadership. I call on the RfR, DHG, PP, and the Federalists to approve this Cabinet.

MessageMr Speaker,

The mere though of the very terrorists who robbed me of my eyesight and killed several innocents having some of their protectors in government is unbearable. Parliament must reject this.

MessageMr Speaker,

we are giving our provisional cautious support to this, because we affirm the dire need for change this country is in. We need a policy of fiscal restraint - not necessarily austerity, we know that this would lack a stable majority, but at least a spending and tax freeze provision.

Furthermore, we need a reboot of our relationship with NUM, which is still stuck in the dogmatic paradigm defined by ex-Taoiseach Ovalle. Once again, this does not represent a shift away from unionism, but a re-invention of a certain sphere of autonomy that nonetheless complies with the consensus on unionism that a majority of the population embraces.

A government in the proposed constellation can provide new impulses for our country's development (and that of the NUM) after years of stagflation under the DHA. We believe that despite all ideological differences this proposed coalition would bring about a change for the better.

However, if this proposal is accepted, I will not personally assume the position of Taoiseach, since my public image is very much defined by my first term in office. A fresh start requires new faces.

MessageMr Speaker,

I am appalled at the language the Interior Minister is using and his conduct completely unbecoming for this body. I move that he be reprimanded for his behavior.

As for the comments of the Opposition Leader, we thank them for their support and we look forward to a constructive relationship regarding bringing peace and reconciliation to NUM, bringing back responsible budgeting to the national government.

MessageMr Speaker,

My language is perfectly correct, if there is a defamation, you know what to do. If this passes, I do hope that Ms. Gascoyne will get an opportunity to taste ashes like I did during my three months of captivity in a hellhole as a guest of the friends of Mr. Muroch, undergoing unspeakable tortures each day. That should teach her for allying with established torturers and murderers.

I ask that you have the Sergeant at Arms to remove the Hon Minister from this chamber should he continue he tirade of personal insults and slights against other members of this body. His conduct is totally unbecoming of a member of parliament.

To terrorist sympathisers, the truth is always an insult/slight. Dragging a blind man who has opposed terrorism would fit the typical sociopathy forever present in the mid of a terrorist sympathiser.

MessageMr Speaker,

If the Honourable Minister would like to discuss terrorism he should schedule a debate on the subject and avoid personal insults and whoring out his personal experience. My party is not affiliated with any political, military or other group in NUM nor have I met any leader from over there. If he wishes to use his experiences to further his cause he better write a book or give an interview rather than dragging the personal reputation of members of this body through mud!

First this cabinet is unsustainable. It will not work. Secondly this cabinet appropriations is ridiculous. We are the second largest partner of this proposed cabinet and all we get is spots that have lesser importance. We refuse this proposal.

OOC: I want to reiterate my comments. Pale your cabinet proposal is ridiculous, RFR get 3 important spots, you,PP and FD get 1 important spot and I get three crappy ones. This is not a proposal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Once again we see that the "Dranish" separatist parties cannot agree amongst themselves over how they are governed. The Egelian people will not be truly free until they are united again as one nation. The division of the Egelian nation into two halves in against nature, and for as long as this situation persists, we will not have harmony.
