| In order to instill a greater sense of shared pride and to cement an ethic of service to the nation and its peoples, this bill seeks to change current policy to require all adults, after secondary or graduate education, to enroll in some form of national service, either military or civil. It is through this brief, albeit significant stint that our nation's youth may form a broader perspective of their role in our shared prosperity through education and stewardship. Alongside this main proposal, the bill will seek to eliminate the presence of currently existing paramilitary groups which only destabilize our nation's security; furthermore, such draw our youth away from service towards the greater good and place them in circumstances that compel them towards militaristic attitudes buttressed with radical political ideologies. |
