Message | The RDP disagrees. As a matter of principle, no able-bodied person should be able to sponge off the work of others. Convicted criminals, in particular, should work for their sustenance, and to pay full restitution to their victims. In practical terms, we believe that the proposed measure would destroy most of the deterrent and rehabilitative effects of prison time. |
Date | 04:47:06, December 23, 2005 CET | From | Populist Islamic Workers' League | To | Debating the Prison Work Reform Act |
Message | We support this, there is no difference between this and the "Slavery is legal as a punishment." option for the legality of slavery. |
Date | 09:53:21, December 23, 2005 CET | From | Radical Democratic Party | To | Debating the Prison Work Reform Act |
Message | There is a difference between slavery and "if you don't work, you don't eat." There is also a difference between slavery and "if you cause some damage, you should pay to repair it." Regardless, we hope that the Marxist Party's position means that work will be optional in Indrala's future gulags. |
Date | 14:31:37, December 23, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Democratic Party of Indrala | To | Debating the Prison Work Reform Act |
Message | It doesn't matter what happens in the gulags. The Marxists previously brought all television and radio media under state control, so the public doesn't know what goes on inside them. |
