Bill: Democracy enhancement act
Details

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3569
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, The Fellowship of the Tower stands against attempts to undermine the democratic process through applying to a false sense of "neutrality" and "objectivity". No human being is objective or neutral. The ban on politically active government employees and the prohibition for candidates who recieve public funds to accept donations are both parts of a system were the establishment tries to undermine the democratic process and keep control by informal means. We are also against mayoral elections, as these are little but a wasteful use of tax money. The people don't need to elect mayors when they are already to elect a municipal council. We must not forget that democracy is not a one man show. Morganna Cadfeal Mistress of the Fellowship |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The 121 newly-elected CT MPs just want to wring as much money as possible out of their newfound positions. Why else would they support a massive salary rise for MPs and making it easier for political parties to milk the taxpayer of subsidies? Fabricio Alvarado MP Leader of Hacia Casa |

Message | Mr Speaker, It is clear that the HC cares little for having a proper free democracy were even the poorest among the poor can become a politician. A salary rise for MP:s is needed to ensure a proper democratic process, lower corruption and enhance transparency. Morganna Cadfeal Mistress of the Fellowship |

Message | Mr. Speaker, If Morganna Cadfeal wants more ordinary working-class people in Parliament, then why does she demand MPs should be paid such extravagant salaries? Fabricio Alvarado MP Leader of Hacia Casa |
