Message | Herr Präsident, The petition presented to us today touches the values of consensual industrial relations at the heart of government policy for the past century. While we believe the unions are valuable partners, we do not believe that that necessitates something as heavy-handed as allowing unions to bargain for companies to force union membership on their employees and potential employees. As for the opening up of foreign investment, the House knows my party's position. However, if we give the private sector enough time to allow the erection of preferential share barriers to protect vital private companies in the Crownlands, we would in time think that such an opening up could be beneficial in the long run. The energy nationalisation measure puts our nation a step backwards in the provision of a vital public service and brings politics into the energy market even more than with simple regulation as it is now, at no added benefit to the consumer. We therefore oppose that part of this petition. I thank the chair. der sehr ehrenwerter Thomas Takata MdR (HDV, Hulstria), Minister of Trade and Industry. |

Message | Herr Präsident, The IKP is deeply confused as to why there seems to be attempts from across the political spectrum to allow for International Capital to relieve this Nation of its national Industries. A more paranoid party would request an audit. Sascha Meinhof Vorläufige Kommissar für Außenwirtschaft |
Date | 16:28:41, October 31, 2013 CET | From | Fortschrittspartei | To | Debating the Wirtschaftsreform Gesetzentwurf |
Message | Herr Präsident, I don't get why we should restrict business models? I think we need to allow every business model. Private energy companies failed us. Hulstrian people suffer from high prices and low services. Nationalisation of energy companies will be the solution. We shouldn't intervene the market with populist and protectionist ideas. I yield Ekaterina Beichner Leader of Fortschrittspartei |

Message | Herr Präsident, as much as I abhor the idea of having to agree with the far-left, in this case I can only repeat the assessment of the Hon. Member Meinhof. This proposal lacks any kind of ideological coherency, and the statement of Frau Beichner only adds to the confusion she has caused with this odd combination of proposals. While she has condemned market intervention through "populist and protectionist ideas" in her statement, her bill includes exactly such ideas. Nationalization means unduly intervening in the marketplace, and is also in some way protectionist by outlawing any kind of competition. Needless to say that such proposals fuel populist sentiments as well. Georg Wintersfeld, MdR LVP-Hulstria Spokesman for Trade and Industry |
Date | 21:30:13, October 31, 2013 CET | From | Hulstrianisch-Sozialistischen Partei | To | Debating the Wirtschaftsreform Gesetzentwurf |
Message | Herr Präsident, The HSP supports the nationalization of key utilitarian industries - what is there to fear if the essential services remain in the hands of central government, whilst external companies can intervene in less-crucial industries? I feel that such a hostility to internationalism in our political community only provokes negative emotion, and should be discouraged in the hope of more tolerant discourse. Henri Streckenbach (speaking on behalf of Leo Wohlfarth) |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
