Message | Herr Präsident, I am pleased to see such a diverse coalition of parties in support of this bill, and while I am disappointed to see the so-called 'centrist' parties vote to continue the criminalization of innocent citizens, I am not surprised. Message | Herr Präsident, There is nothing innocent about cheating on your spouse. It is morally wrong, it destroys families and the law should continue to recognise that. der ehrenwerter Herr Johannes Goddestreu MdR (HDV, Kien Altstadt) Designierter Innenminister (Minister-designate for Internal Affairs) |

Message | Herr Präsident, I must object that the law does nothing of the sort. The established policy, to not prosecute adulterers, proves what a hollow farce is the moralizing of the HDV and other supporters of this adultery law. I take no moral stance on adultery in this chamber, for the moral debate must be separate from the legal debate. Adultery should be treated as a civil matter, between the parties so concerned, and should not involve the powers of the state. Elsa Mechtilde Abeln Spokeswoman for Justice |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
