Message | Wait why should we suddenly allow the exploitation of species on the brink of extinction. It does not benefit our society in any way. You also suddenly want to eat panda if that was culinarily acceptable |

Message | Quotas are good, but still...Would have been acceptable had whales not been a recognised 'critically endangered' species in Terra. I'm sure our people do not want to destroy nature's resources for their interests. If we begin a system of quotas for whaling, we have to give a fair chance to the entire population which we can in no way sustain. What do you think? |

Message | It is a compromising / middle point of human rights and and environemnt protection. We want to protect the environment but we also need to work to give our citizens their deserved rights as much as possible |

Message | You are correct, we cannot disagree on this view, and in an ideal world, would want the same. But when it comes to matters of practical criticality, like this...about an endangered species...this is when we let our people know that they need to let go of some interests to sustain other beings on the planet they share space with. Human race has done enough good and bad to the the world already, now it's time to act responsible, at least with species that are on the verge of extinction. This is the government's duty. |

Message | Giving people freedom is our ideal world. In an ideal world there wouldnt be a need for government or regulations. Sadly we are not there yet and humanity in general isn't because of our nature. We cant allow people to make big bucks by letting other species get extinct. Freedom is neccesary but even though we wouldnt want it to be, there is a need for restrictions |

Message | We concur with the OCLs. Your sense of freedom is justified always and clearly well intentioned, but here in this issue, we need to impose some stricter restrictions. Actually, they aren't even restrictions in true form, just a precautionary measure of sorts! Thanks for understanding. |

Message | OCL: I too am not in for this now, I hope you didn't misread something! And what an analogy about the panda! :P :D |
Date | 05:54:20, November 13, 2013 CET | From | Beluzian Liberty Party | To | Debating the The Whaling Act 2.0 |
Message | We concur with the RDNP especially in regards to their stance on individual rights, we would like to add an economic argument that government restricted fishing artificially inflates the market for whale which encourages over-fishing because of that vastly inflated price. |
