Message | Why would any wish to 'restore' such a horrific institution such as monarchy? The very concept of monarchism is anti-egalitarian, promoting one person and their family above all others for not merit or ability but birth. None who support this can claim to support democracy in the slightest. |

Message | Are you saying RL UK isn't a democracy? For that matter, Australia and Canada too, since the British monarch is technically theirs too. Denmark also has a king. Are they also not a democracy?! Do all the people who support the monarchy of their country (Denmark especially, since they're very socialistic, like you) not 'support democracy in the slightest?!' We're going to vote against the bill because we don't like the idea of a French monarchy. |

Message | The RL royal family actually has a history of blocking laws that affect their interestst and even overturning an election because they didnt like the result (Australia in the 70's)... The RL UK has elections, but compared to the US there are very few checks on power and almost no constitutional rights. As far as we are concerned, monarchism is by its nature anti-democratic. OCCUPY THE CROWN! |
