MessageThe position of the Nationalists on these things is simply this, Mr. Speaker...

We implemented a "Contract" based economy setup. We keep the actual services private. All buyers and sellers of goods are private entities, but the government remains as their medium of interaction. The government controls the network within which all private firms interact.

The government has control over the economy and the various functions of different parts of society, but it simply leaves the work and technical details up to these firms. These private firms have to compete for government contracts, ensuring efficiency. If a central government monopolises everything, we get a bloated public sector with lazy bureaucrats. Instead of having a big public sector, we have a big private sector and ensure that we control it.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I would like to add this point to the discussion: In contrast to most other countries, Lodamun has a lot of control over the economy and services. http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariable.php?variable=INDUSTRY_REGULATION
