| Message | Mr. Speaker, The 1% increase on the lower bracket is approximately a $100 increase on the absolute top-earners (those earning $10,000). This $100 more in taxes is easily offset by hundreds more in savings that will come as a result of a the public healthcare system. That $100 is cheaper than most premiums on private health insurance. Another consideration that can be made is the impact of future cuts to less important ministries, such as a Defense or Finance. Its also worth considering a minor increase to the corporate tax rate.
