Bill: Education Reform Act
Details

Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3591
Description[?]:
Following the 3589 Education Act (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=397883) which placed the entire school system under the control of the Trigunian National Church (TNC), we have decided to make some changes. Three quarters of the schools granted to the TNC will become state schools under the responsibility of the Education Ministry. These schools will continue to provide some religious instruction and will have prayers at assembly. However, children of parents who object to this will have the option of being able to withdraw their children from religious education classes and prayer sessions. The TNC will retain control of a quarter of the schools it currently runs. These schools will continue to be run much as before, generally providing a fuller religious education than the state schools. No religious organisation other than the TNC will be permitted to run schools in Trigunia. Private schools will continue to be allowed, although they will be required to make religious education available, just as are state schools. Sergei Filipov Minister of Education & Culture |
