Message | NPH likes to get a big messed up every once and a while (well every night) and so do the Luthori people. The government should not restrict the consumption of alcohol. It is an individual's place to decided whether or not to consume such beverages. |

Message | Let this NPH drink himself to death if he wishes, but we shall not allow minors access to alcohol. |

Message | So you know better than the children's parents? The government of Luthori should reject such paternalistic attitudes and respect individual liberties. |

Message | If a parent gives his/her child alcohol, then yes I know better than that parent. Do you actually know what alcohol does to the brain, or to the foetus? |

Message | It does harm the fetus, however there are no laws stopping an adult woman in Luthori from consuming alcohol. And a child having a glass of wine is not harmful. On the contrary, restrictve attitudes towards the consumption of alcohol can contribute to binge drinking behavior among minors. Let children see and experience the healthy consumption of alcohol in a responsible manner instead of trying to shield them until they reach the age of majority. |

Message | Considering the age of maturity in Luthori is sixteen, we are not expecting them to wait too long are we? |

Message | True, so why not allow them to enjoy the healthy and responsible consumption of alcohol as they grow up so that the right is not thrust upon them at 16. In the United States you see a great deal of unhealthy and irresponsible drinking around the age of 21 and that is at least in part due to the fact that it is illegal for those under 21 to consume. You support individual rights, grant parents the right to raise their children as they see fit, instead of imposing state held morality upon them. |

Message | We should reintroduce ban if regulating it is causing such problems. |
Date | 11:23:28, December 24, 2005 CET | From | Free White Castle and The People Party | To | Debating the If We Can't Have Burgers, NPH Wants to Get Drunk Bill |
Message | Ban's on alcohol run counter to the idea of individual liberties and also encourage the development of crime syndicates, just as we see in the cases of drugs and gambling. |
