Voting deadline: March 3608
Description[?]:
In recent times, our country has suffered frequent blackouts. This is simply due to the existence of the prohibition of large private energy companies (Signed into law by our earlier statist governments), so the burden of power generation falls on the state company, with the consequent inefficiency and bureaucracy. In fact, in December 3606, the 83.82% of the electric energy was produced by the state-owned enterprise, but there were, in average, 1.5 national power outages per day. To solve this situation, and encourage investment and innovation in the energy sector, the Partido Liberal Republicano de Baltusia proposes the following bill: |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on energy generation.
Old value:: Small scale private electrical generation is permitted but most energy is generated by a government-owned company.
Current: Small scale private electrical generation is permitted but most energy is generated by a government-owned company.
Proposed: Private and public power stations exist side-by-side.

Message | From where are you drawing these figures? Baltusia prides itself in its environment and clean, efficient energy! We enacted the current law in order to ease the nation into further economic freedom. Also, as our nation is currently recovering from a civil war, we do not elieve this is appropriate at this time, especially as the new tax system has only recently taken full effect. |
