Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3608
Description[?]:
Herr Präsident, self-regulation for private higher education institution should be allowed so that greater competition between private and public universities can take place, with students getting to choose between diverse curricular concepts and didactical methods. It makes no sense to allow private universities only to try to conform them to those under public ownership. Christoph Underdahl, MdR LVP-Hulstria Bildungssprecher der Liberalen |

Message | Herr Präsident, It does make eminent sense, contrary to what Herr Underdahl is proposing. We all want those who graduate from our universities to contribute to their fullest to society and, and this is an argument I know Herr Underdahl and his colleagues will appreciate, to businesses and the economy. As somebody who comes from business, I know how important it is for them to graduate from a well-regulated university programme we can rely on, whether that is public or private. Regulation, in that regard, is a must and in my eyes, that vital link will be lost should the Diet pass this bill. die sehr ehrenwerte Franziska Schäfer, MdR (HDV - Labsburg Bingen) Bildungs- und Kulturministerin |

Message | Herr Präsident, I must disagree with the Minister here - the business community's active demand for skilled university-educated professionals will automatically incentivize higher education institutions, public and private, to equip them with the necessary skills. There is therefore no reason to believe that direct government-imposed regulation would produce better outcomes than autonomous self-regulation. Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne |
