| Previous Cultural Protocols: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=393818 in need of minor revision Pre-Game History: The earliest settlements in Aloria date back to around 3000 BCE when Draddeg tribes began settling in the northern part of modern day Aloria. Around 200 CE groups from Majatra began migrating north, a process that accelerated in 600 CE when large groups of Selucian missionaries of the Holy Apostolic Hosian Church of Terra began arriving en masse. Later when the Church split the majority of HAHCT members switched to the Selucian Patriarchal Church. In the later 1200's when the Majatran based Augustan Empire began to crumble and the Ahmadi Caliphate surged forward they sent small expedition to make contact with the Selucian- Alorian population. These expeditions were repelled and created a lasting disdain to Ahmadi's that lasts to today. By the 1600's the nation was united in the Kingdom of Aloria and has roughly stayed the same since then. A short lived colonial period produced colonial holdings in Indrala ended by the 1950's. Languages: The three Officially Recognized Languages of Aloria are Draddeg (Welsh), Dundorfian (German) and Alorian (Catalan). All three languages are used in official government business and generally speaking most citizens can and do speak 2 or 3 languages with high levels of proficiency. Other languages are spoken in a considerable minority not statistically significant. *Percentages: Alorian: 40% Dundorfian: 30.% Draddeg: 25% Other: 5% *Denotes those who speak as a first language ***NOTE: While these numbers should be fluid they SHOULD NOT fluctuate wildly without extensive RP and consent of those involved. Religious Composition: Most of Aloria is Hosian (OOC: Christian) and are divided into largely two camps: Luthoran (Protestant) and Patriarchal (Catholic) branches. Because of the high numbers of Selucian descendants here, the Selucian Patriarchal Church (SPC) is one of the dominate sects of Aloria while most Dundorfian Alorians are Ameliorate (Calvinist) with a mix of Confessionalism (Lutheran) and a small number of Bishopalism (Anglican). The main Ameliorate church is the Holy Alorian Church.
