Bill: Emergency Healthcare Relief Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hosian Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3618
Description[?]:
In light of the Socialists' callous destruction of our nation's private health care system and the subsequent suffering inflicted by a public system that has less than 10 MCR to spend per Malivian, the Conservative Party must act. Malivia has a headache, but the Socialists' aspirin-only health care system must be stopped before more innocent people suffer and die. As the national government is plainly ineffective at organizing and administrating our nation's healthcare system, we propose to let the local governments handle this issue. |
Proposals

Old value:: There is a free public health care system and a small number of private clinics, which are heavily regulated to ensure they treat their patients well and provide good care.

Message | We relish the opportunity to return power to the people to allow them to govern as they see fit. Regardless of one's ideological belief on the issue, the effects on the people must be taken into account. The Freedom Party is shocked that the Socialists did not take into account the costs of socialized medicine. This bill will enable the people to choose and fund the the health care they want locally, resulting in better health care and better government. |
Date | 18:49:02, February 04, 2014 CET | From | Malivian Socialist Party | To | Debating the Emergency Healthcare Relief Act |
Message | That is a ridiculous claim from the reactionary Conservatives. We have now quadrupled health spending in our new spending bill and will continue to shift His Majesty's Government's spending priorities over time. Unfortunately, the constitution does not allow for a faster pace of change and therefore we are unable to implement all the reforms in the appropriate time. |
Date | 21:31:42, February 04, 2014 CET | From | Hosian Democratic Party | To | Debating the Emergency Healthcare Relief Act |
Message | It is a relief to the Conservatives that the MSF has taken the funding shortfall so seriously. At 40 MCR per Malivian, perhaps we can afford to subsidize the purchase of a pine box for the patients after the Socialists' idea of a health care system is finished with them! |
