MessageHerr Präsident,

even though misconduct cannot be said to be fully impossible on the free marketplace, it would be naive and irrational to believe that it could never occur in a fully state-operated energy system. At least on the free market, competition ensures that no company can commit too many missteps and faults, as the customers will be quick to punish them by switching to a different provider.

MessageHerr Präsident,

I fear Herr Holzinger misunderstands the nature of the energy market, which is dominated by a few companies that pretend to compete with each other, but in reality can pretty much dictate the terms they want to customers. The energy sector is just too important to abandon to the profiteers. National direction is needed.
